Matrix Series
The Dedocolor Matrix8 and Matrix18 fixtures are built using state-of-the-art light engine technology — and unlike conventional COB systems, they employ Dedolight’s advanced Optical Color Engine (OCE). This multi-channel, matrix-style LED system generates light with exceptional precision, replicating nature’s process of creating light one wavelength at a time.
By integrating RGBACL+Tertiary LEDs with exacting optical engineering, the OCE reproduces the full complexity of natural color — producing billions of hues directly at the source. It delivers outstanding color accuracy, deep saturation, and nearly twice the output of similar full-spectrum lights. The phosphor-free design ensures long-term spectral stability, while micro-lenses and light guides produce razor-sharp beams and beautifully defined shadows.
With Dedolight’s renowned beam control and the OCE’s optical finesse, you don’t just illuminate — you craft and sculpt pure color.
Optical Color Engine
The advanced multi-channel OCE Matrix engine delivers exceptional spectral control, surpassing traditional 5-channel RGBWW and 6-channel RGBACL systems. Its expanded diode design reaches beyond the limits of primary and secondary color ranges into the tertiary spectrum, producing smoother color transitions, flawless skin tones, and vivid, naturally saturated hues without harsh spikes or inconsistencies.
Built Tough with Exceptional Heat Management
Dedocolor fixtures are engineered for durability and reliability, even in demanding professional and rental environments. The Matrix8 and Matrix18 feature robust steel and aluminum construction, providing a stable foundation for accessories such as the DP400 projector equipped with the heavy 70mm lens (11.5 lbs). Their side panels are crafted from extruded 6063 aluminum, chosen for its superior heat dissipation properties.
To ensure long-term performance, Dedolight employs an advanced thermal exchange system that protects diode integrity and color consistency. Copper heatsink plates and heatpipes deliver up to 40% greater heat dissipation compared to standard aluminum solutions. Combined with phosphor-free diodes, this design not only enhances color stability but also minimizes heat from the Stokes shift—significantly extending the fixture’s lifespan and maintaining its peak performance over time.
